Religious Atheism?

I see it more and more as I browse the internet and engage with theists and atheists alike. The Ken Ham wannabes who have taken it upon themselves to name atheism a religion and cry that it takes faith to 'believe' in.

I'm at a loss for words. I knew theists were incapable of critical thinking regarding their precious holy texts but this is ridiculous. The reason they are doing this, is to take away the credibility of calling it what these people actually DO believe in. How can they not see the stunning irony here? It's absolutely mind boggling. Not only are they completely undermining themselves, they are completely wrong.

As I've said before, we don't believe in anything, nor do we claim anything. We simply reject your claims because there is no evidence. That is all. Many of us accept scientific theories, such as evolution through natural selection but these are not, and never will be faith based. Sorry to ruin your party.

By the way, a scientific theory is not the same as the 'theory' definition thrown around by theists, so here it is:

A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method and repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation.

Please educate yourselves.
